MEET JOEL HAMES
Hello, and welcome to my website.
I’m an author based in Lancashire, England, where I live with my wife and daughters.
I’ve been publishing crime fiction for more than a decade now, across a variety of genres, but always with engaging characters, compelling plots, and a dash of humour.
CRIME FICTION SERIES
My crime fiction includes the new Whaley & Gaskill series, following the Cumbrian Professional Standards team as they work to bring corrupt cops to justice, as well as the Dead North series, starring lawyer Sam Williams. My Cumbria Crime collaboration with award-winning author Rachel McLean has seen seven books published to date, all of them Amazon bestsellers.
As well as continuing the adventures of Whaley & Gaskill, I’m currently working on a new police procedural series set in the Yorkshire Dales.
ABOUT ME
When not writing, I like to spend time with my family, play the piano, solve cryptic crosswords, and run at a pace best described as ‘dignified’.
